Web page structure and its continuously rapid growth:::::

I recently was exposed to a fascinatingly interesting presentation from Brett Duryea of B1 Designs. He very effectively explained web page structure to the class which was something that I had never been exposed to. After the presentation I had a much more comprehensive idea of how webe pages' are structured which led me to thinking about the potential secruity risks there are with web development. As the technological industry is ever evolving and changing daily so do the destructive measures associated with it. This will continually be an issue for web devlopers like, Brettt Duryea, who do design for a wide variety of companies. It was very interesting as to the premise has multi-dimmensional layers in which coding can and is placed to display and edit the page. After his presentation I felt much more confident in the orgination of my personal site that I hope to have up and running by graduation, May 2008!

Okay, How does the Digital Divide tie into Blogging?

As the digital divide continues to grow closer to closed, there becomes more users in the marketplace. This means that there becomes a greater opportunity for businesses to communicate with their consumers. It will be interesting to see how these communication methods continue to evolove as technologies paralles its evolution.

The Evolution of Communication Through Technology: Blogging

The premise of blogging in its entirety is to provide a platform for discussion. The power of speech can be expressed through this avenue because the discussions are not limited, there are not rules or restrictions. People have the ability to speak their mind via blogging sites.

Understanding this market will create a serious competitive advantage for businesses who choose to partake in bloggin activities. Bloggin is beneficial to the marketing department of a business because:
  • It allows the marketer to create a dialogue through which a relationship can developed with the current and potential consumers.
  • In developoing such elements with the consumer marketers will be able to more efficiently target them with their advertising and promotional efforts. This will hopefully have a hand in revolutionizing the marketing industry, causing companies to become more innovative and straight forward.
  • With this intimate and important customer knowledge businesses will be able to build a stronger brand in affliating with their market more effectively.

I have always been a firm believer in the fact that effective communication is the key to success in any type of relationship; be it intimate, friendship, professional, team, etc. For individuals to be successful they must work together to do so communication needs to be in place. Blogging creates a unique way for businessess to directly communicate with their customers at an at will basis, with out intruding on their private lives. The element of choice is present which creates a dynamic area for individuals freedom of speech.

The Digital Devide now encompases Television!

It's very interesting for me to see the concept of the digital divide expand and grow into different technological markets. Fore example television. As of February 2009 every television set will be required to have a digital box for it to be able to operate. This too will create another digital divide through a different interactive media. Televisions continue to evlolve into an all in one service for the consumer providing them the ability to fast forward through commercials, manage pictures and videos, access the internet, etc. etc. etc. Soon one may be able to access blogging activities while using their television in the comfort of their own home.
